Kuivisto

The deposit Kuivisto is situated 7 km north of Pampalo near the north-northwest striking Pampalo shear zone in one of the structural geological areas favourable for gold mineralisations.

Exploration

Geological Survey of Finland and Endomines have pointed out 300-400 m long auriferous pipe-like structures through exploration efforts in Kuivisto. The gold grade is little lower than in Pampalo. So far the best mineralised core sections contain 3,6 g gold/t (12 m’s intersection) corresponding to 4,3 g gold/t (6 m’s intersection). A total of 3 434 m core drilling and 644 m RC drilling have been carried out in Kuivisto.

Year 2007 12 new holes were drilled at the area totalling 804 metres. Best single result in this drilling campaign was 25,5 g/t at 0,9 metre. Central parts of the area have to be stripped for detailed structure study before any further drilling can be performed.

Classification of Mineral Resources

The deposit Kuivisto has, with a 0,5 g gold/t cut off an indicated tonnage (JORC) of 36 586 tons grading 3,2 g/t (3741 oz) and an inferred tonnage (JORC) of 145 202 tons grading 1,0 g/t (4809 oz).
